Nestled among lush vineyards with panoramic views of the Southern Alps, the Winehouse became the ultimate setting for a day defined by luxury, laughter, and love.
The venue, already known for its rustic charm and elegance, was transformed with stunning white florals sourced and styled by the wonderful FlowerRoom Queenstown, where white blooms took center stage. From delicate touches along the aisle, the floral design struck a perfect balance between timeless elegance and modern flair.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by champagne, blue skies and the stunning manicured landscape, which lent itself beautifully to the relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere Mercedes and Aydan wanted to create. In true New Zealand style, the couple selected a menu featuring the best of local flavors. Fresh seafood, tender lamb, and vibrant seasonal vegetables delighted every guest, each course carefully paired with award-winning local wines that captured the region’s renowned viticulture.
When it came time for the ceremony, Mercedes looked radiant (with makeup and hair by the talented Alarna Taylor, her dress flowing elegantly as she walked down the aisle. The couple exchanged vows and as they said "I do," laughter filled the air, reminding everyone of the joy that had brought them all together.
But it was the reception where the true spirit of the couple—and the night—came alive. The night took on a life of its own, a symphony of dancing, clinking glasses, and stolen glances. As the party continued into the early hours, guests could feel the magic of the day lingering in every detail—the mountain breeze, the glow of candles, and the radiant happiness on Mercedes and Aydan’s faces.
